Regret After Divorce
Regret After Divorce
Sinta, the wife of a well-known Islamic boarding school owner, is suddenly brought to her parents' house by her new husband and wife.
"Today in front of your parents and my parents, I reject you, I reject you, I reject you," said Kang Fahmi to Sinta.
This is the third divorce pronounced, meaning that she and her husband are now officially divorced. Everything seemed to hit hard and suddenly for Sinta. Because all this time, she has tried hard to be a good wife and daughter-in-law in her husband's family. However, with heart and cruelty, Fahmi divorced her just like that.
Snippet of chapter 1....
"Mas, are you sure you want to continue this marriage?" asked Sinta with a sad look. I'm sure he's the one hurt the most by my second marriage. Which wife wants to be married and can see her husband agree to consent with another woman. Although the reason is clear, because he can not have children. A month ago he held a letter that he was infertile, unable to have children. That's why my family forced me to remarry.
"Of course, please. No matter what the circumstances, Fahmi still has to marry Janah. She is a beautiful and kind-hearted girl. Who doesn't want to marry Janah, a village flower and daughter of a famous Ustad," said Diyah, my biological sister.
"What else are you proud of as a woman if you can't have children?" hiss aunt Ratih, Abah's sister who really hates Sinta. All his hatred started with Abdillah, his son who was crazy about Sinta, my wife.
"Come on, let's not get into a fight," I said between them.
"But, Mas..." Sinta said in a deep voice. I saw that there were clear tears falling from his eyes.
"Mas promise to be fair to you. Mas wants to lead you to be able to reach God's blessing. Trust me, Mas, if Mas, God willing, you can be fair," I said cutting him off, trying to calm him down and wiping away his tears.
"You can't do this, Mas. This is wrong," Sinta hissed without looking at me, his gaze blank ahead.
When I heard him say that, I immediately got emotional. With all my might I suppressed emotions and tried to speak slowly.
"This is not wrong. My family and I are expecting a successor. Who will manage Abah's boarding school if I don't have children. Even though Diyah's children can, Abah expects children from me."
"All right, Mas. If that's what you want," said Sinta, smiling bitterly which made me feel even more guilty towards her.

Today is my second wedding day. Exactly at eight this morning, I will do my consent qobul with Janah. The daughter of a famous Ustadz. Who doesn't know Janah, the beautiful daughter of Ustadz Hanafi.
I admit that Janah is prettier than Sinta Rania. But even so, Sinta is still my first wife, the woman I married two years ago.
Parents who urged me to have children immediately made Sinta do a fertility test. After a week of waiting, the letter finally came out and stated that Sinta was infertile.
Since then, Sinta has been disliked by my extended family. The attitude of everyone in the house towards him suddenly changed.
Since then, Abah and Umi immediately came to me and asked me to get to know Ustadz Hanafi's daughter better.
With a heavy heart I accept it. But my heart seems to be interested in Janah. A beautiful woman admired by many men.
I walked towards the room that would be a silent witness to my wedding. I looked back, it turns out that Sinta was following me with the tail behind.
I stopped and stopped Sinta's steps.
"Are you sure you'll be strong enough to attend my second wedding?" I asked him softly.
Santana nodded quickly
"I will still do this wedding, even if you faint," I said annoyed. To be honest, more than annoyance welled up inside when he nodded quickly when I asked him whether or not he was strong enough to witness my second marriage.
I accelerated my steps until I arrived at the room and found the prince, witnesses, as well as my extended family.
"You are patient, yes, honey. I'm sorry we decided this without caring about your feelings," Umi whispered to the woman who was now just standing still staring at me and Janah side by side in front of the prince who made my heart hurt to see her too.
"Umi will still love you, Sinta is still Umi's first daughter-in-law, yes, honey," Umi said again trying to cheer her up. But Sinta did not say a word. He chose to sit in front of the invited guests and his eyes still stared at me blankly.
