Chapter 1 : Midnight Guest

Riani hastily walked to the door of her house where she had been constantly knocking, even though it was now the middle of the night. Riani didn't open the door right away, just in case she peeked first through the small hole in the door to see who was outside.

"Matthew?" muttered Riani confused.

But his hand immediately turned the key to open the door. When the door was opened, Riani's nose immediately smelled the strong smell of alcohol coming from Matthew. His hands deftly immediately supported Matthew into his house, not forgetting he locked the door again.

Arriving at the living room, Riani immediately laid Matthew on the couch. He stared in surprise at the young man in front of him who was drunk because as long as he had known Matthew, the young man had kept away from alcoholic beverages.

Riani intended to go to the kitchen to get a glass of water but her intention was stopped because someone was holding her right wrist. The culprit was none other than Matthew even though the young man's eyes were still closed.

Riani finally chose to sit beside Matthew's body which almost filled the sofa. His eyes scanned the face in front of him that looked peaceful with regular breathing.

"How much did he drink?" Riani again muttered to herself.

"Two." Matthew answered in a hoarse voice which startled Riani.

"Why are you drinking all of a sudden, Matt? If there's a problem, tell me, don't drink immediately!" Riani's advice to the semi-conscious Matthew.

"Dizzy." Matthew's advice from Riani was answered briefly.

"Because of college assignments?" Riani guessed, Matthew shook his head slowly as an answer.

"Then what is it? About women huh?" Riani guessed idly.

But unexpectedly, Matthew just nodded his head. "Are you serious about girls?" repeated Riani confirmed with a surprised tone.

He was obviously surprised because Matthew had never bothered about women before. Even though it's actually not a strange thing because he's only 21 years old, it's normal to have love problems like other young people.

"Dizzy where?" asked Riani curiously.

"Don't know how to put it." Matthew replied by muttering which luckily Riani could still understand.

"Don't make things difficult, Matt. You just need to say that you love him, if he has the same feelings that's fine, if not, you can try again," Riani replied trying to give advice.

"Is that so?" Matthew muttered making Riani nod her head even though afterwards she felt stupid because Matthew couldn't possibly see her because she still had her eyes closed.

"Yes," Riani replied, which made Matthew immediately open his eyes. Matthew's eyes were red from the effects of the alcohol he drank, Riani's hand which he still held, Matthew brought to his chest.

"Aunt Riani, I love you." Matthew gently squeezed Riani's hand which he held tightly.
